I've been thinking a lot about St. Patty's Day ... I think it just might be my favorite holiday ...
- The whole point is to have fun & get drunk
- Whole bars of people become quick friends for no other reason than what day it is
- Drinking at the work place is more likely to be accepted (good news for me this week)
- You get to pinch people without getting hit
- And, you get to say all kinds of toasts in a crazy fake accent, and people will laugh along with you instead of calling you a dorky poser
I say we all take the day off and do this holiday like it deserves to be done. Who's with me?

Since you gave me the Brawny man...I give you this
Posted by: D at March 17, 2006 06:28 AMYay, drinking!
Posted by: Ogre at March 17, 2006 07:33 AMAs you well, know, normally I am all for any suggestion that involves drinking. However, Mrs. Buckethead might give birth to spawn #2 literally at any moment. So I really shouldn't go out drinking.
It's marginally acceptable to show up to the hospital drunk when it's your cousin's wife giving birth. Not so much when it's your own wife. Even less acceptable when your Mom is going to be there. So there will be no green beer for the Buckethead.
However, we should gather some people together for a pre-milblog conference blogmeet/drunken baccanalia.
Posted by: buchethead at March 17, 2006 11:55 AMPlease ignore the first comma in the above paragraph. And note that my nom de net is "Buckethead" not "Buchethead." Move the "H" from my mispelled name somewhere into the word "Bacchanalia."
I didn't think Alzheimer's could hit you when you're in your mid thirties. But apparently, it can. I guess I'll just blame it on my wife's pregnancy.
Posted by: buckethead at March 17, 2006 11:59 AMDrinking? When? Where?
Posted by: Lysander at March 17, 2006 12:14 PMAhhh, youth. You didn't have to walk by Kegs & Eggs at Lulu's to get to work this AM.
Nice idea, KIDDO, but wait until you get to be mine and Ted's age.
Posted by: Victor at March 17, 2006 09:06 PMHow the heck did "kiddo" get capitalized? I'm sorry; I only meant to sound slightly obnoxious, not totally obnoxious :~)
